5 years ago I was struggling with terrible anxiety, not knowing how to deal with my mind.
Waking up every morning felt super painful.
My anxiety got so overwhelming to a point where all my coping mechanisms like weed, porn, and binging social media were not helping.
I tried changing my negative thoughts into positive. But I was having so many dark thoughts that made the task impossible.
Even meditation couldn’t help me.
I was super lonely walking on eggshells to not trigger my anxiety. I had no friends who supported me at that time.
I didn’t want to face people or do anything with my life. I just wanted to sit there and think all day.
This dark period went on for 7-8 months. I couldn’t find an escape.
Finally forced to surrender:
One fine day, I woke up and was too tired of fighting my thoughts. I had no energy at all.
So I gave in and accepted my thoughts. I surrendered to them.
I felt some instant relief from anxiety just doing that.
After that, I was crying and releasing so much stuck emotions.
Some days into this acceptance process, my thoughts were not that debilitating.
I felt like removing a super-tight shoe that I had been wearing all my life.
Soon I was able to have some small talks with people. I started feeling hopeful.
Turning into my own best friend:
Few months into this healing journey, I stopped judging myself even when I had bad days.
I started loving myself and being more self-compassionate. It helped me soothe my wounds.
I became my own best friend.
I even realized that my thoughts are just thoughts, nothing more. They don’t define who I am. This realization freed me.
After that, I started becoming more outgoing. Making new friends. Traveling a lot.
Now I’m at a point in my life where I’m completely present, happy and at peace with myself.
I can even turn complete strangers into friends within 10 minutes. And I’m also building a holistic online biz.
Five years ago, this version of me would be an impossible dream. But here I am.
Horizon of Hope Process: Break your anxiety pattern
Liberation from your mind is also very much possible for you, no matter how far it seems from your grasp.

It comes with three simple steps:
- Let your mind wander.
- Catch when you judge yourself.
- Start questioning your mind.
Let’s break it down and make it very practical for you:
1. Let your mind wander:
Take at least 30 minutes per day(ideally 1 hour) to sit with yourself without any distractions.
No people. No phones. No social media. Nothing.
Just you and your anxious mind. Let it wander. Let it take wherever it wants to take you.
Take a note and write down everything that comes to your mind. Don’t hold back.
If your mind wants to just curse, scribble it.
If your mind wants to sing, scribble it.
Let your thoughts free flow for as long as they wants to.
Scribbling your thoughts brings perspective to deal with your anxiety.
2. Catch when you judge yourself:
Judging your thoughts as good or bad and believing those thoughts is what makes your anxiety worse.
Notice how you react and judge yourself for your thoughts like:
“I’m not good enough”.
“I’m not tall enough”.
“I’m not beautiful enough”.
Catch yourself when you do that.
You don’t have to be involved with those thoughts or try to fix them. Let them be.
Remember: Your thoughts are just thoughts, they don’t define who you are. That’s how you free yourself.
3. Start questioning your mind:
Unhealed mind is like a bad friend who is constantly feeding you bullshit.
If you don’t want to hangout with a friend like that, you also don’t want to believe your mind.
Practice questioning your mind.
For example:
If it feeds you, “you are not capable of doing that”.
Instead of believing it blindly, question your mind like “Why do you think that I’m not capable of doing that?”
When you practice questioning, you will realize how long you have been believing the bullshit that your mind is feeding you.
This is how you will free yourself from the anxiety pattern and bring some relief.
